Located in Northwest Austin with easy access to Highway 183, Oak Forest subdivision has been one of the more popular neighborhoods for many years. Residents appreciate the fact that first-class shopping, major employers, medical facilities and recreational areas are convenient. Oak Forest is a family neighborhood of custom-quality homes priced from the 300’s to the 500’s.

Oak Forest subdivision is in the City of Austin and within travis County. The area is also served by the highly acclaimed Round Rock independent School District. Located conveniently within the neighborhood, Kathy Caraway Elementary School has received the presidential Blue Ribbon Award for Excellence. There are currently 764 students and 48 teachers, yielding a student-to-teacher ratio of 15.9. Recently, nearby Canyon Vista Middle School was named a Blue Ribbon School for the second time, a first for a Texas school. Having these fine schools serve the neighborhood is an added bonus for everyone living here, especially those families with school-age children.

Within the five sections of Oak Forest subdivision is a refreshing variety of home styles from contemporary to traditional. This is the result of having attracted the talents of over 15 custom-quality builders. Tree lined streets and large lots, a community pool and active neighborhood association all combine to create a most desirable place to live. You also have a neighborhood park adjacent to Caraway Elementary School with play areas, two tennis courts and hike and bike trails to enjoy.

Oak Forest’s cable and electrical lines are underground, creating a clean look. Its streets are comfortably wide, with curbs, gutters, and sidewalks. Of the 28 streets and cul-de-sacs in the subdivision, only four carry significant traffic. This adds substantially to the safety in the area. Being on the edge of the Texas Hill Country in Northwest Austin, Oak Forest subdivision has a rolling terrain which beckons to those who enjoy running, cycling, or a quiet after-dinner stroll at sunset.

Note: the Austin Board of Realtors passed a rule that restricts the publishing of sold information. For this reason I am no longer able to publish specific addresses and sold prices. The price shown for sold properties is the last listed price. As always, upon individual request I will be more than happy to furnish a detailed report on each property!
